Beauty Displaced (2009)

White latern, candle flickers
Dancing wonder.

Light darting, scattered diamonds
On the slate floor.

Now vanish empty hand,
Taken from us
Taken from us.

In sloping steamy sidestreets,
there he stands.

The creases of his smiling face,
all pulled down.

Each holding someone’s precious
dreams alive.

In the Moroccan sky he rides,
red orange blue.

All taken with his pride,
with his pride.

Beauty displayed
Then displaced
Beauty displaced.

White latern, candle flickers
Dancing wonder.

Light darting, scattered diamonds
On the slate floor.

Now vanish empty hand,
Taken from us
Taken from us.

Our night has just begun (2009)

One glass I pour for you
My back is bare
Our room is warm
The ice melts on my skin
Burbon flows down my spine
The light catches your face
Your eyes pull me next to you
Drink with me my love
Our night has just begun.
